3.  Disable Windows Update

I’ll be honest with you, this method works like a charm.

“b-b-but wait jake, doesn’t this leave my computer more likely to be affected by bugs and viruses.”

Yeah I know what you’re saying because I asked the very question myself. 🙂

The thing is, you don’t really have to disable it altogether,  you can still manually ask it to send you notifications so that you can choose when you want to update your Windows 10.

Here’s how can adjust the Windows Update settings to your comfort. 🙂

Step 1:  Go to Start, look for your Control Panel

Step 2:  Head over to your Administrative Tools

Step 3:  Here’s where you can find and get to your Services. Once you’re in your Services window, scroll down to Windows Update and turn it off.

Step 4:  To turn it off, all you have to do is just right click on it, and then select Properties.

Step 5:  Now Disable it from inside your Properties, and Voila! You’ve just disabled your Windows Updates (Don’t worry 🙂  just follow these 5 simple steps and you can re-enable it back whenever you want to)

It is important that you keep up to date with your Windows updates whenever you can as each update brings new and better ‘stuff’ that you might like actually!

The thing you have to keep note is whenever you turn it back on again and when you open your Windows Update in your settings to check for the latest updates, you will find a message saying that the updates were not installed because computer was stopped.

It’s pretty much a piece of cake from here, just keep clicking on Retry so that all your available updates are installed and up to date. Chances are if you left it disabled for some time then it will take two or three times (or maybe more) to Check for Updates until your computer says it is up to date.

What Does This Mean for Culture?

Freud made the argument that for society to exist, man’s worst impulses—violence, selfishness, inappropriate sexuality—must be kept in check. The internet is possibly the first mechanism in human history that allows society to not only exist, but to thrive by removing the need for self-censorship. With no consequences and lower-quality communication, people are rewarded for the shock value of what they say as much as the content and meaning.

Although this opens up more possibilities for thought and communication and has led to rapid social changes all over the world, it brings new challenges with it as well.

Already, internet culture seems to be adapting. New social functions are being labeled and understood. Trolls pick fights unnecessarily. Memes are ways for people to share laughter about topics which are sometimes taken too seriously. Social media allows us to negotiate the meaning of a swarm of ideas in a short amount of time.

But at the same time, we’re all exposed to more dialogue and more people’s thoughts than at any other point in history. While it’s good that human communication has achieved infinite capacity, as individuals we must also adapt to these new realities. We must begin accepting responsibility for how we react to what we read. We have to accept that we will always be offended by somebody, in some way, and sometimes live with it.

That’s the hidden cost of the combination of free speech and limitless capacity for communication: more assholes.

And while the internet grants us all the right to communicate whatever we want as much as we want, we must armor ourselves with the ideals of humanity. We must teach ourselves to be a little more resilient, a little more patient, a little less judgmental. And understand that the nitwit asshole on the other side of the screen is sometimes the same person you’d be happy to have a beer with in person.

Make Sure Your Router and Other Network Equipment Is Working

When routers, modems, or cables malfunction, they don’t properly support network traffic at full speeds. Certain technical glitches in network equipment negatively affect performance even though connections can still be made.

To troubleshoot potentially faulty equipment, temporarily rearrange and reconfigure your gear while experimenting with different configurations. Systematically try bypassing the router, swapping cables, and testing with multiple devices to isolate the slow performance to a specific component of the system. Then, decide if it can be upgraded, repaired, or replaced.

Final Words:

Thus no need to panic in solving the internet problems.

Try different methods; you will surely get your connection back.

Instead of just yelling the problem why is my internet not working properly,’ try to solve it with peace of mind.

If it has just stopped working in the middle of your vital work try all the methods listed above.

If you still have a connectivity issue, then the only solution left is to format your computer, but before doing that save your data at another place or keep a backup of your data so you may recover it afterwards.
